Big boy batch of cold brew for those who have getter to get done and demand coffee that matches the quality they approach life with.
Brew a gallon of cold brew like Colten Mertens :
“My favorite roast is Marla, I have an electric grinder and I fill it 3 times then let the beans soak overnight” Colten’s no nonsense process.
🏋️♂️ Setup:

Container: 1-gallon glass jar with spout (as shown in Colten’s fridge)

Coffee: Paper Street Coffee’s Marla (light roast, fruity & bold)

Grinder: Any electric grinder (Colten fills it 3 times per batch)

Ratio (translated for home use): ~85–100g coffee per gallon of water (about 1–1¼ cups of whole beans)

This method creates a strong, rich brew with fruity, chocolatey undertones—perfect for athletes, early mornings or just anyone who is ready to get things DONE

🥇 Brew Option 1: Strong Concentrate (Café Style – Recommended)
Grind your beans coarse (like sea salt)
Steps:
- Fill your grinder 3 times with whole beans (this lands around ~4 cups ground coffee once ground)
- Add all ground coffee to your 1-gallon jar
- Pour in 16 cups (full gallon) cold water
- Stir until all grounds are fully wet
- Cover and steep 12–18 hours (overnight works best)
- Remove metal filter OR strain out grounds
Serve:
- Mix 1 part cold brew + 1 part water or milk
🥈 Option 2: Ready-to-Drink (No Dilution)
Grind your beans coarse (like sea salt)
Steps:
- Add 1 to 1¼ cups whole beans (or ~1 to 1½ cups ground coffee) to your jar
- Pour in 16 cups (full gallon) cold water
- Stir until fully wet
- Cover and steep 12–18 hours
- Strain or remove filter
