Ava Georg From the Basement to the Big Games
"It began in middle school, I was self-conscious of how I looked! Navigating personal things and definitely not eating the healthiest - I began working out in my basement and for 2 years that was the start of my journey."
Ava went on to play soccer in high school and her foundation of middle school muscle was motivation which helped keep her driven to increase her strength for her sport. Not one to do the bare minimum Ava was also inspired to begin attending CrossFit classes!

" There was a group of 3 girls that also did CrossFit from my school which pushed me to stay accountable. One of the coaches there would coach all of us on Olympic weightlifting and we did some comps together, as time went on I got the itch to compete in CrossFit but originally that was never the goal! CrossFit has given me amazing opportunities my 14 year old self would've never imagined."
(Early weightlifting days!!)
Enlisting in the Army at 17 Ava was able to pursue things she had not originally imagined. She was able to showcase her dedication and compete in CrossFit for the Army - Competing in crossfit for the Army is "one thing I never thought would be possible, as well as traveling and competing in competitions that I always was in awe of when I was just starting off! " - Ava
(early army days)
Ava shares that the people you get to meet and the experiences themselves are always the highlight of competing. "I felt like in the beginning I was on the outside looking in and now to be in it and it being a huge staple in my life is crazy to think about."

Ava had fun competing on a team in 2024 with Carson Wolfe, Cj Gerald , and Mitch McClune outfitted by Born Primitive.
We admire Ava's energy when she said " It’s a privilege to come up short.
Beyond proud of our effort this weekend." about the team at West Coast Classic.
Ava is not just expanding her athletic skills but her academic and professional horizons as well. "I am in business school working to get my bachelor's degree under my belt.
I’ve also been doing full-time recruiting with the Army National Guard," she details, showcasing her commitment to growth in multiple facets of her life.
The drive she has in always reaching for her full potential is something we really admire.

2025 also marks a new chapter in Ava's coaching dynamics as she transitions from training in Vegas under Coach Kiefer with Underdogs Athletics to PRVN.
"I'm excited to have the PRVN team and coaches behind me this season, especially with moving back to Wisconsin. They are always helpful and welcoming from afar."

Ava will be on a team out of PRVN Nashville this year, "our goal is to qualify for the 2025 CrossFit games!" shares Ava - "since we are able to compete in both individual and team divisions l would like to make semifinals as well as see where I stack up individually." Overall the energy is that of excitement and looking forward to seeing what jumps have been made during off season!

In her free time Ava likes to adventure in nature, she once said " For the soul 🌞⛰️🌵
But mainly to wear my favorite @bornprimitive fit & to eat my applesauce in peace "
We are thrilled to follow Ava's journey as she continues to pursue excellence in all her endeavours . You can follow along by bookmarking her events page here.
